Jenna died peacefully surrounded by friends and family at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where she worked as a nurse.
Jenna had an army rallying behind her as soon as she was diagnosed last April. Friends and family encouraged others to pray and rally for her along the way.
"When the four of us spent New Years Eve together, we cheered for new beginnings," one friend wrote before a major surgery.
"We never could have imagined that for one of us that would mean beginning the fight of her life."
Jenna's battle became harder two months her diagnosis, when she lost the love of her life -- her dog, Max. She shared memories and words of advice on social media.
Always cherish the little things in life, because one day you will look back and realize they were the big things.
More than $35,000 had been raised for her as of Tuesday morning on a GoFundMe.
She will be remembered for her unwavering selflessness, sharing her passion for nurse care. Much of her time was spent ministering to others.
Jenna is survived by her parents Jerry and Paula Wallace, her sister Merisa (Samuel) Rosa of Wayne; two brothers Jerry (Rebecca) Wallace and Chad (Cara) Wallace of Ringwood; her seven nieces and nephews Tanner, Blake, Ryan, Jameson, Mackenzie, Jack and Kylie as well as her best bud and cousin Dara; along with many other cousins, aunts and uncles.
Jenna was predeceased by her precious pup, Max.
Visitation is Thursday, March 22, 4 to 8 p.m. at the Oakland Memorial Home with a funeral service to follow Friday, at 10:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Warriors for Jenna Foundation at 1916 Ship Court, Toms River, New Jersey, created to keep her spirit and memory alive forever.
